Does Total Registration collect the students' payment for exams online? PDF Print E-mail
General Questions

Students can pay online
Students can pay online
For the 2009 AP* exams we will be offering an option that will allow students to pay online with a credit card. Families will be able to pay with Visa, Mastercard and Discover. Total Registration will then pay the school all of these fees in one check to the school, eliminating the need to process checks and write receipts.

There is an additional fee of $0.30 per registration and 4% of the fees or this option as we have to pay the bank to process cards. This translates into about $3.80 for an $86.00 exam fee. Many schools will choose to increase the exam fee in order to cover the cost of this convenience. Most families will be thrilled to pay online and not have to hassle with returning a check and worrying about whether it is turned in on time.

Many have asked if Total Registration pays the College Board directly for the exams. We do not pay the College Board. The school is still responsible for ordering exams and paying for them as they always are. What Total Registration does is give you accurate data and help you collect the fees in order to have a painless, organized registration process.

If the online payment option is not used ,students will need to bring their payment to school and the payment will need to be recorded in the database. This is the only data entry that needs to be done with our AP Exam Registration Service as all of the other information is collected online.
